Teacher Requirements
The Fayette Christian School Teacher:
- Demonstrates and communicates a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior
- Is a servant leader
- Models Christlikeness in daily life
- Faithfully attends and actively participates in a local, Bible-believing church
- Adheres to the vision, mission, statement of faith, philosophy, and guiding principles of Fayette Christian School
- Has earned a Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field from an accredited college or university
- Has teaching experience preferred in the core or evidence of a successful teaching practicum
- Submits to a BCI and FBI background check
- Has ODE Teaching Certification
Employee Records
The school maintains an employee file housed in the School Office. This file includes the following:
- Completed Application
- Reference Letters
- College transcripts
- Signed Policy Statements
- Criminal Background Check (BCI and FBI)
- Emergency Contact Information
- Signed Contracts Copy
- Tax information
- Letters of accomplishments or recognition
- Teachers’ record of subjects taught each year and extracurricular assignments
Health Requirements
The Ohio Department of Health has established requirements for health records, which schools must maintain for all students. Students entering school in Ohio must be immunized according to the requirements of the Department of Health before they can begin classes. An immunization record from a physician or the health department is necessary stating that the child has received immunization in accordance with the Department of Health with the month and year of each immunization received.
